About This Spot

Step through the doors of Sara's Mediterranean Food Market, and you're immediately welcomed into a space that balances the charm of a neighborhood gathering spot with the vibrant soul of a Mediterranean bazaar. The pace here is unhurried, inviting guests to linger over not just a meal but a moment — whether settling in for breakfast or wandering the aisles in search of something special to bring home.

Light melodies drift softly through the air, underscoring the gentle hum of conversations and the clink of cups. This is a place where the senses are quietly awakened: the warm aroma of freshly baked bread mingles with the rich, slightly floral notes of Turkish coffee, while shelves brimming with honey, olive oil, and artisanal jams tell stories of faraway lands and carefully tended traditions.

The experience is intimate and layered. Whether you find yourself dipping a piece of homemade bread into a subtly spiced tomato sauce or sharing bites of freshly prepared gyros and tabbouleh amidst laughter and easy conversation, there's an unmistakable feeling of connection — to the food, to the culture, and to the people nearby. It’s a setting where meals unfold naturally, and every dish carries a quiet authenticity, heightened by attentive service that feels genuinely heartfelt.

Beyond the table, the adjoining market beckons with an assortment of Mediterranean treasures, from spice-packed lahmajoun to savory beef jerky, encouraging exploration and discovery long after the last bite. It’s a place that embraces curiosity — inviting you to taste, to learn, and to bring a piece of its warmth back to your own kitchen.

Came to shop at the store, but changed mind to enter restaurant first as suddenly we all felt hungry and we were not disappointed. Food was great, fresh and tasty atmosphere was great with relaxing music. Turkish coffee was great as well. We will be back next time we are in town and would recommend this place!

Laura was my server and helped decide on a dish at it was AMAZING. Laura was courteous, quick, and made the experience feel over the top. The bread, as always fresh and a delight, with their tomato based sauce. Highly recommend !!

Lovely little combo restaurant/market. We were seated promptly and were intrigued by the wonderful menu. We had the 3 Sampler with hummus, grape leaves and the babaganous (sp) with warm, homemade bread. I ordered the beef shish kebab and my friend ordered the falafel. Everything was fresh & delicious, especially the rice!! Our server was Sloane and she very nice & efficient. After eating a walk through the market will definitely open your eyes to whole new variety of foods. Definitely will return!!

We didn’t eat here but we did shop. The selection is great, it’s the first Turkish market I’ve been in. The staff - everyone seemed so friendly. Welcoming. The food was fresh from what we saw and it smelled delicious. They have such a great variety, really have something for everyone. I’m looking forward to dinning in. They have jarred grilled olives! Something I haven’t seen personally. I recommend checking this place out.

Best Mediterranean market around! Incredible selection of authentic imports, fresh deli items, and pantry staples. Always find unique ingredients. Friendly service, clean store. A must-visit for Mediterranean cooking!"

This place is an absolute delight. The staff (especially Laura!) was friendly and attentive but not overly so, and I can't even begin to speak to the food. Babaganoush was creamy with the perfect smokiness, served with warmed Turkish pide and a seasoned tomato oil that was out of this world. Kibbeh better than any I've had before, perfectly spiced and seasoned without a hint of dryness. Beyti Kebap was no less than perfection, complex and rich. The Iskender Kebap was so good it made me yearn for a country I've never been to. Warm, inviting, and beyond delicious.
